Birth & Postpartum Doula in Spokane

Warm, judgment-free support for Spokane families, from the South Hill to the North side, at any of the city's birth hospitals or at home.

AT A GLANCE

  • Birth hospitals in the city: Sacred Heart and Deaconess near downtown, and Holy Family on the North side
  • Services: birth support, daytime and overnight postpartum care, and virtual support
  • Free consultations in person or by video

Drive times are rough estimates and vary with traffic and weather.

A doula who knows Spokane's birth options

Spokane has three hospitals where babies are born, and each one feels different. Sacred Heart is the region's largest, with a Level IV NICU and care for higher-risk pregnancies. Deaconess, a few blocks away, has a Level III NICU and a Maternal Fetal Medicine program. Holy Family, on the North side, keeps you in one room from labor through recovery.

Where you give birth usually depends on your provider and your insurance. Wherever you land, I can help you prepare for that hospital specifically. Read my guides to Sacred Heart, Deaconess, and Holy Family.

What birth support looks like

  • Before birth: two prenatal visits in your home to plan for birth and practice comfort techniques, plus text and phone support whenever questions come up.
  • On call from 37 weeks, 24/7, so you are never wondering who to call.
  • In labor: continuous support at home and at the hospital, with massage, counter pressure, position changes, and help understanding your options.
  • After birth: help with the first feed and a postpartum visit at home.

Postpartum help across the city

The first weeks home are when many Spokane families feel most alone, especially if relatives live far away. I offer daytime and overnight postpartum support, including help with feeding, newborn care, meals, and light housekeeping, so you can rest and recover.
